I don't know if I've ever seen Henry as giddy as he was on Halloween! The boy was having an absolute blast! He couldn't stop practicing "trick-or-treat please, I get candy, I say thank you" all day long.
First things first, you gotta make yourself a spooky breakfast.
Ghostly pancakes with "sauce" aka syrup (filled with orange and black sprinkles that you can't see here)
Our activity for the morning - church playgroup (or church playground as Henry calls it), complete with a Halloween parade.
The kiddos decorated their treat bags, and obviously he couldn't wait 'til we got home, had to dig in as soon as we got in the car.
Spider snacks, how scary :)
"I go trick-or-treat at Oma's, I get candy, I get present, I say thank you Oma." That Oma really upped the ante for Henry's trick-or-treating later in the evening, as he then thought everybody was going to give him a trick-or-treat present.
He seriously couldn't jump in and out of his wagon fast enough to get up to the doors. We went to 5 of our favorite neighbors' homes and then headed home to hand out candy, which was by far his favorite part of the night. He was 'Mr. Generous' with his fist-fulls of candy, therefore we ended up turning off the outside lights a bit earlier than usual because we ran out of candy. He LOVED making sure every kid got their candy, except the big kids dressed in football pads were a little scary - "daddy do it."
Henry's neighbor boys - Brandon and Tyler
Ari, Diya (the love of his life), and Rohit
Ari and Henry were really inspecting the candy dish here, making sure each piece was ok to hand out.
Last but not least, my favorite jack-o-lantern pizza, and boy it was tasting extra yummy for some reason!
Thursday morning, Henry woke up and grabbed his Halloween basket, dumped it out, and said "I go trick-or-treating!" Oh, what fun we had!
