Coffee date

Who knew you could have so much fun at Caribou?

First...strapped into my high chair enjoying a tasty treat with my Tante Kathryn, Cheerios of course (as if there was any question?)

Second...a stop at the art table, but then I remembered, I'm not a big fan of art projects :(
(how could I forget?)

Lastly...wash it all down with a marvelous cup o' joe by the fireplace.
Aaahhh, a dynamite date with some great gals:)

Seriously?

Yes, Henry, we're seriously going outside for a walk today. Here the little man is all bundled up to head outside for our walk today. Can you tell we're looking forward to warmer weather?!

Rebel

Henry the rebel must have snuck out last night and got a nose ring! Oh wait, I guess it's just a Cheerio.....thank goodness!
It was so funny, he just left it there for a while during breakfast this morning.
(Sorry this picture isn't the greatest, the sunlight was streaming in the window but I just had to put it up :)

What?? Is there something on my face? What's so funny?

Happy President's Day

We sure do love it when that Dad is home from work, don't we Henry?! With all this snow blowing around outside, the boys were snuggled in on the couch today. I don't think I've ever seen Henry do this.....sit/lay in one spot for more than a few seconds that is.....he laid with Phil on the couch for almost 10 minutes!! Maybe it's those sore little gums:( Henry's getting 2 new teeth, his 2 front teeth are popping through, ouch!

Babyproofing

Gate.......check

Locks......check

I swear these doors used to open so easy!

Side note....super fun to play under the kitchen table and chairs....not so much fun trying to get out from under there, bumping my head, and then crying:(

Another side note......I thought Spring was coming, what the heck?!

Lucy and Henry....longing for the great outdoors

Be My Valentine

My little Valentine made us a card (with the help of his Oma and Tante last Friday when I was at work). How sweet of that cupid, Henry:) Apparently he wasn't a fan of his art project, no smiles and lots of growls. He tolerated it (at best) because he knew how much I'd love it. Thank you Henry!

Step 1: Pick out the perfect piece of paper, of course tasting it, leaving just a hint of slobber.
Step 2: Address it to my favorite people in the world....making sure not to smile either.
Step 3: Sign it with love.....I see an R, an E, an N, and an H...where's the Y?
Step 4: Glue on artwork...Cheerios! One for you and 3 for me.

The finished product....

.....ooooh, there's that Y, on the back of course!
Thank you Henry Thomas, I love you too!

P.S. Nothing says love like a heart-shaped pizza!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Artsy fartsy

The Krump Krew set out for the Minneapolis Art Institute today as it was Family Day there! The theme for the day was Mighty Myths, oooohhhhh, aaaahhhh.

We first checked out the drawing studio as you can see below. Here, Henry was supposed to construct his own mythical scene complete with heroes and legendary beasts, wow. We've come to find out in the last few days that Henry is not exactly what we would call a fan of arts-n-crafts (more to come on that topic in a future post), but we thought we'd test it out anyways.

That is quite the inspiration Henry was observing before he began his drawing with his mama. I managed to get the letter "H" on the paper and then we had to move on. The drawing studio experience was short lived today:)

Check out that hair on my little H man - he must have had one wild nap because it was looking very dapper earlier in the day after his Oma and Tante gave him a bath, and here it's looking Einstein-like. Nothing would smooth it down!

"Do Not Touch" didn't apply to these paintings, thank goodness, didn't want us to get kicked out!
