Henry the Yogi

Henry and I hit up the yoga studio this morning (Blooma), this was our 3rd yoga class together. The first class was when he was about 8 or 10 weeks old (just laid there and let me do all the poses on him/with him), the second was when he was 5 months (rolled over and stared at everybody, not as much yoga happenin' as in the first class), and now he's just about 8 months (crawled all over the place, sucked on every toy there, pulled on the mom's hair (and glasses) beside us, uh oh). He's graduated from BYOB (bring your own baby:) to BYOB-crawlers this time. This class turned out to be a lot more crawling and lot less yoga'ing. We sat between Norman (16 months) and Penelope (9 months), two super cool yogi's themselves. Henry and Penelope exchanged pacifiers once, does that mean technically Henry had his first kiss? Thank goodness Penelope's dad wasn't there because her mom told me that he said Penelope could only play with girls and NO BOYS!
Lotsa fun, can't wait to check it out again!

Henry made sure he had the brown mat and I had the pink mat, of course!

Status Quo

Nothing too crazy to update about over the last couple days, other than the fact that it's been too darn cold outside and we're ready for a heat wave:)

Here are a couple photos of what Henry's been up to this week.......

.....Chasing Lucy, and poor Lucy wants nothing more than to just lay in the sun and keep to herself. It was impossible to get those two in a picture together, as Lucy was constantly running away from Henry, so if you look close enough, you can see the white fur ball flying around Henry's other obsession right now, standing at his "activity center" (thanks Molly)! He was laughing and smiling and crawling as fast as he could to catch her, however never was able to catch her. That game still hasn't gotten old:)

.......Pushing the cover to the tupperware steamer around the kitchen and walking behind it. He hates walking if you hold onto his hands and try to get him to walk, but give him a tupperware cover and off he goes:)

.......Opening cupboards, oh no. Yes, I've bought the locks and yes, now they need to be installed. He pulls himself up, holds onto the little knobs, and bounces up and down. Good times!

......Eating....and lots of it! I can't quite figure out a "favorite" food yet for him, he doesn't really seem to love anything but he doesn't really seem to hate anything either. He'll eat whatever I give him....peaches, pears, apples, blueberries, mangos, bananas, avocados, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, carrots, yogurt, cereal, and Cheerios. He does get quite giddy when I offer him water, yes water can be so exciting I know! Yes, the sippy cup is upside down here, but it's way more fun to chew on the bottom rather than suck water out of the top, who knew?!

....Hates wearing his hat and mittens (and socks for that matter, too). Yes, I know it was below zero this week and as I look in the mirror in the back seat, this is what I see. Mittens are already off and he's in the process of ripping that hat off too. Stinker!

Party weekend!

So many parties, so little time!

Cousin Greta was visiting this weekend. We had a big Krump lunch date at Noodles on Saturday, yum:)

We were invited over to the Nelson's for the Super Bowl on Sunday. Henry must not have gotten the memo that the Vikings were out of it, but he wanted to sport some purp-n-yellow Vikings gear anyways:) Here Henry is with one of his many girlfriends, Amerie. Henry was the only little boy at the party with 3 older, wiser, more mature girlies (Amerie is 2 days older, Taylor was 9 months older, and Laney was 17 months older). We decided he's going to LOVE this party in a few years when he can chase them all around!

Library Storytime

A few weeks ago, Henry and I went and got our Anoka County library cards, books, yes! I saw online that Baby Storytime meets on Tuesday's, so I thought we'd head over there. Little did I know the popularity for Baby Storytime was crazy! I (I mean Henry) was put on the waiting list until March, seriously, I know, isn't that absurd? The librarian told me that I pretty much need to call on the first day of registration in order to get into Baby Storytime as it is quite the popular class. Now I know, I guess. I have it in my planner to call at 10:01am on February 28th to get us into the next session:)

Henry, being the lucky little boy that he is, gets to go to Family Storytime every Thursday with his Oma and his Tante Katie (no registration required, everybody gets in thank goodness).....side note......I don't think I've ever explained that Oma is Grandma and Tante is Aunt in German.....another side note......Katie is marrying quite the handsome German this summer, and they have placed their trust in Henry to bring up the rings:) So anyway, here Henry is at Family Storytime today, looks like he was diggin' his books - thank you Oma and Tante!

Bring it on Spring

Happy Groundhog Day!

Punxsutawney Henry has just awoken from his morning slumber and is about to give us his prediction........early spring or more winter.......can he see his shadow (or reflection in the oven - we had to improvise as it's too darn cold to go outside today).......no shadow/reflection.........Spring is on it's way, yessss! Thank you Punxsutawney Henry:)

Big fan...Huge

So....another photo from TwinsFest that I just came across. Henry's people contacted Justin Morneau's people to get this great pic that we took the other day. Um....I may be stating the facts a bit loosely. By people, I mean me, and by contacted, I mean stole from his website (justinmorneau.com)!

Hard sleeper!

How this can be comfortable, I have no idea, but this is how the boy enjoys his shut-eye! Note the spare pacifier at the bottom of the picture...I'm shocked it's still in there. I've had to start putting 2 spares in there for naps as he prefers to chuck them on the ground and then gets cranky when he can see them and can't get to them. Oh Henry, what am I going to do with you?!
Henry's Opa says he's got such a tiny nose right now and it's never going to grow if he keeps smushing it like this when he sleeps:) He'll wake up with 8 little finger marks across his forehead, ouch!
