A Twins Fan went to TwinsFest

Props to the Nelson's (again) for hooking us up with TwinsFest tickets. We had a fabulous time, thanks! Henry was so pumped to go scope out the new team for this season....ok, maybe his mom was a bit pumped as well:)

Best photo of the day......TC! How handsome is that little boy with his big bear?!

We had to stop by Target Field so Henry could practice his fly-ball outs. Thank goodness he wore his sneakers so he could really sprint after those balls!

Loved his souvenir on the care ride home, what else....a baseball.
Ready for the season opener......April 1st (no joking around)

Henry's adventures

Favorite toy today.......Tupperware cupboard!

I don't know how he can even see what he's doing over those cheeks. Busy boy.

Sledding.....take 2. Once again, balmy, must have been mid 20s today. This time around was much more enjoyable....no tears!

I heart cars

Henry may be taking after his uncle Chris with his affection for cars lately. He's learning the value of a good maintenance check before he takes his car out for a spin :)

1. Make sure the gas tank is full.

2. Check the oil.

3. Test the gear shifter.

4. I guess he's putting his keys in the trunk here.
Um, how do I start this thing Mom and where am I supposed to put my Cheerios?

5. Bounce up and down on it a couple times to make sure the shocks are working well.

6. Finally.....this vehicle is in mint condition, now let's cruise :)

Why nap when you can stand?

Henry's naps have been a bit delayed today because he is much too busy teaching himself how to stand up in his crib rather than sleep! He has it mastered now as you can see below. Yes, I can see that mobile needs to come down now or he'll help me out by pulling it down instead :)

I understand Phil was quite the beaver when he was little, chomping on his crib rail. No teeth marks in Henry's crib yet....that I can see at least :)

Go Spartans!

Here Henry is at his first basketball game, watching the Superior Spartans varsity team and his second cousin, #5 in blue, Rob! Rob is quite the stud on the court, scoring 35 points today! Henry was thoroughly entertained with all the excitement of the game, partying right though his afternoon nap.

Like father, like son

At the age of 7 months, Henry is already starting to study up on his finances. Phil is oh so proud :) How cute is this book that the Nelson's found for Henry!? The author is actually from the Minneapolis area and she has a few other "Henry" books that I'm going to have to get now.

It also works as a good "walker" to push around the carpet :)

....and an especially tasty treat, of course!

Snack time

Look closely at this picture and you can see those two jagged little toothers sticking through! His first popped up on December 20th and the second came through just 6 days later. I didn't even notice they came, the doctor felt the first one at his 6 month check-up.

With those two big teeth now, I thought Henry would like to start chomping on some snacks. Here he is showing you all his first one......

Cheerios!
I think he was more interested in gnawing on the rubber tip of the sippy cup instead of eating the Cheerios!

(Pearl) Jam session

Phil is hoping that Henry will dig playing the guitar as much as he does some day. Here are a couple pics from their jam session today. Phil tells me he's been teaching Henry the chords to some pretty sweet Pearl Jam tunes :)

Too tart, Mommy, too tart!

My cousin from Colorado

Henry's cousin Riley was visiting from Colorado this past weekend. Each visit gets more and more fun with these two babes! With Riley walking and Henry crawling, the munchkins are on the move. They definitely kept us entertained! Here are a few fun pics from the weekend.

Aren't pj pictures just the cutest?

With the temperature being barely above 0*, we decided wagon rides in the basement would be a super fun substitute for sledding. Can't wait to go for wagon rides outside this summer!

Can't wait to come to your 1st birthday party in March, Riley! Do you think you could sneak me some birthday cake? I'm pretty sure my mom won't be letting me have any, boo hoo :)

Zoo #2

Henry's 2nd trip to the zoo proved to be a bit more fun for him than his first go around (his first trip was at 4 weeks old). Who did we all see....the monkeys, polar bears, zebras, giraffes, fish, and so many more! Henry was feeling quite adventurous so he hopped right in the seal's den and took a picture with him :)

A Krump family photo.....and a nice butt on that giraffe. It was either Henry wasn't looking and the giraffe was right behind us, or Henry was looking and all was saw was the giraffe's behind. Oh well.

Peas....no thank you!

To put it nicely, Henry didn't really care for his first go around with peas yesterday. I couldn't stop giggling and he was looking at me like, "Seriously, you think is funny? These are horrible!" Instantly from when the spoon hit his mouth, his chubby little face got all scrunched up and he would not open his mouth anymore! He was spitting and coughing to get them all out of his mouth. I had to get the video camera out so Phil could see it later. No smiles here!

As a side note...I found these fabulous bibs at Ikea yesterday. They are a nylon-like material so you can just wash them off in the sink afterwards, and they have full sleeves on them. So, Henry can rub his face anywhere on his arm and won't get his clothes dirty! Genius, I tell you! Now, if only I could find a pants suit too :) Then, his clothes would still be clean after eating. I know, I know, wishful thinking.

As I'm writing this, I remember asking a friend of mine, how do you handle how messy everything gets? She told me you'll worry about it for about the first 5-6 months and then you just have to let it go. Surprise, surprise, I know exactly what she's talking about, Henry is 6 months old! Oh well, right :) Somebody else told me this piece - the messier they are at the end of the day, the harder they played!

Henry's latest favs

Wow, do I have quite the busy boy on my hands! This week, Henry has been loving crawling around and around (and then around a few more times) the kitchen island. I think he was on the track for an hour straight yesterday afternoon - he loved it! However, to spice up the regular old crawling, he likes to add in a few other fun things.....spitting and watching it fall to the floor, then rubbing it in....and dragging around a tupperware cover. Who needs toys?

"Um, excuse me Mom, you're in my light and I'm trying to watch my spit fall. Could you please move?"

So when he first started this, I would neatly go behind him with a rag and wipe it up. Well, I now I find myself mopping up the spit with my sock as I chase after him. Those of you who know my neat/clean freakiness, you know how hard this is for me:)

He's a man on the move.....and I'm loving every minute of it!
I love you Henry Thomas!

BFFs

Henry is expressing quite an interest in Lucy lately, therefore they've become BFF's. With Henry's new found bravery and freedom (aka crawling all over the main level of the house, including on the hardwood which is such a workout for the little man), he often ventures over to Lucy's room to see what she's up to. Pretty soon they'll be chasing each other around the house. I know Lucy is sure looking forward to that!

I almost forgot.....a belated Happy New Year to all my beloved followers!
Here's to 2011!
