Little fishy!

Henry, the fish, started his 4-week session of swimming lessons today! After a few tears in the locker room and on the deck (who knows why?), he was all smiles once he got in that H2O with his dad, in fact, he loved all 40 minutes of it (I was honestly kinda shocked)! Can't wait for next week:)

Today, Day 1, the lessons were:
1. blowing bubbles (or in Henry's case, drinking that delicious chlorine water)
2. front float
3. back float

Henry meeting his teacher, waving too of course, and waiting his turn to get in the water.

Henry's swim team members, ready to work hard!

After 40 minutes in the pool, check out these wrinkles!

Happy, Happy, Happy Easter

We headed back to Jamestown for the Easter holiday this year. Good food, good times, good visits with my relatives!

This manual bubble blower certainly wasn't as exciting as Jill, the librarian's, turbo bubble blowing machine, but it got the job done....bubbles!

Henry must have been reminiscing about his trip to see the Easter Bunny at the grocery store last week when this bunny came around. He wanted nothing to do with it, no smiles whatsoever, even tried pushing it off the chair and wouldn't sit with it!

Henry got to hang with his great grandma, Bertha, on Saturday. We made the trek to Bismarck for the day to visit. If Henry's great grandpa on Phil's side goes by "Old Papa", are we supposed to call her "Old Mama?"

Listening soooo intently to 'Puppies and Kittens.'

How funny is this picture? Apparently Henry has developed a love for yanking on chest hair. Who knew?! I know his Opa Krump has felt the pain before and now by the looks of this, his Grandpa Olin is in the same boat!

Ok, here's a better shot of Grandma and Grandpa Olin!

April (snow) showers?

Seriously? Yep, it's April 20th today and there was snow on the ground when we woke up this morning. This was our view out the back door as we were having breakfast together this morning. We might have to trade in the stroller ride for a sled ride today:)

Easter eggs galore!

Dying Easter eggs....according to Henry Thomas!

Step 1: Taste them all to make sure they're just perfect, maybe break one or two before we dye them.

Step 2: Drop them in the pretty colors, literally drop them, maybe break another one, who knows!

Step 3: Now they have to dry.

Step 4: Admire them...oooohhhh, aaaahhh.

Step 5: Oops, taste them again before the dye is dry.

Step 6: Time for a snack break, Cheerios of course!

Step 7: Better put my feet up, this is hard work!

Step 8: Admire them some more.

Step 9: All finished! Taste them one more time, mmmm. Maybe break one more, just for fun!
Good work Henry!
I love you,
Love, Ms. Bunny

Meeting Ms. Bunny

Ms. Easter Bunny took a few moments out of her busy schedule of hiding eggs this time of year to make a stop at the grocery store today. Henry Thomas didn't quite know what to think about that nice, big, fluffy, white bunny (with the rad neon colored vest I might add)! No smiles here today, he was all business:)

The ears are on for a quick second....

...and then they're off!
Just as any hat that goes, he refuses to keep anything on his head!
Hoppy (early) Easter everybody!

We've got a climber on our hands!

What could possibly be more fun than climbing back and forth (and back and forth and back and forth) under the coffee table (with blue cell phone in hand, of course:)?

There were only a couple instances where that little noggin would get jammed:)

Grass?

What's that? Not quite sure what to think of this stuff on the ground. Today was Henry's first experience crawling around in the grass. Last fall when we would go outside together, I was able to bring a couple toys, Henry would lay on his tummy and play with them while I would read my book. Not this summer...he's a busy one, that Henry Thomas!

How funny is this picture? Posing, yet not happy at all!

Spring Fever

We are LOVING this warm weather! Henry scoped out one of the parks in our development yesterday. The verdict? He gave it two thumbs up....definitely looking forward to spending some quality time there this summer.

"Hey Uncle Chris, could you hook me up with a sweet engine for this thing?"

A bit concerned about this swinging business when we first put him in it :)

That Tante was a ball of fun at the park!

My little musician

First, jamming on Phil's guitar and now tickling the ivories at his Oma's house! Henry really digs playing the cymbals too, and if he doesn't have the actual cymbals in his hands, he pretends whatever he has in his hands (ie- tupperware, cell phone, any toy that he can 1-hand) are cymbals :)

Go Twins!

We're rooting on the Twins today, hoping for their first win after yesterday's season opener loss :(

Future MN Twin?? Practicing his batting skills....with an upside down bat!
